highlights of this place are the Mon-style pagoda which contains Buddha relics, mural painting with Thai pattern, and beautiful door panels. Wat Sao Thong Thong is also interesting for it houses a unique star
fruit-like pagoda that cannot be found anywhere else in Thailand.
The trip to Koh Kret will not be completed without eating Mon recipes, tasting a wide variety of desserts, and paying a visit to a pottery shop. Food stalls and craft shops are scattered along a narrow path. Some pottery shops provide pottery-making demonstrations, and visitors can try to make their own pottery at those shops as well. A lot of people also like to sit and sip their favorite drink along the river bank after walking or cycling. Such a laid-back atmosphere is absolutely refreshing.
