Pranburi

Pranburi is a small town in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province on the east coast of Thailand. The nearest popular resort is Hua Hin, which is located in the same province, 30 kilometers to the north. Actually, the city of Pranburi is not located on the coast itself, but five kilometers from the coast, but its suburbs and beaches are on a wonderful sandy coast. Often Pranburi is mentioned as one of the suburbs of Hua Hin or one of its beaches.

Pranburi is a popular beach destination for Thai people. There is nothing to do in the city itself, there are even almost no hotels, but along the coast there is a road along which many hotels and guesthouses lined up and formed a real tourist area. The atmosphere here is rustic, very calm, so staying here is recommended for those who find Hua Hin too noisy. Even compared to Cha-am, it is quieter here, and the beaches are considered among the best in the province. But do not think that this is a complete "wilderness". Along the beach road you can find several bars and restaurants open until late.

Since there is almost none of entertainment here, all that remains is to relax on the beach or visit the sights. There are none in the city and on the beaches, but quite a few interesting places are scattered throughout the province.

Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park

The first marine national park of Thailand located in Pranburi. Here, low mountains smoothly turn into mangrove swamps, and it is precisely because of this special and rare relief that the area has been declared a protected area. The area of the park is 98 square kilometers.

Pranburi Mongrove Forest Park

This is one of the few attractions located directly in Pranburi. The entire park is spread along the banks of the Pranburi River. Among the mango thickets and other vegetation, paths have been laid for tourists. The visit to the park is free.
